Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, established in 1949 in the holy city of Mashhad, is the third oldest university in Iran. As the largest university in eastern Iran, it currently benefits from the expertise and dedication of over 800 faculty members. More than 25,000 students are currently pursuing undergraduate, master's, and doctoral degrees, including over 1,100 international students.
With a proud history of over 70 years, Ferdowsi University of Mashhad now operates as a scientific hub in northeastern Iran, comprising 13 faculties, 7 research institutes, and 118 academic departments.
