In the latest results of the thematic ranking of the QS International System, Ferdowsi University of Mashhad has succeeded to obtain rankings in 3 thematic majors among the top universities in the world.

According to Vice-Presidency for Planning and Resource Development, a review of the position of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad indicates that the university has obtained rankings in Petroleum Engineering (101-150), Electrical Engineering and Electronics (451-500) in the area of engineering and technology, and Agricultural and Forestry Engineering (351-400) in the area of biological and medical sciences.

It is worth mentioning that the thematic ranking of QS Institute is among 51 majors in 5 thematic areas of Art and Humanities, Engineering and Technology, Biological and Medical Sciences, Natural and Social Sciences and Management based on four indicators of popularity of the university, Employers’ Evaluation, citations per article, and h-index.

Some of the information required for QS thematic rankings is obtained through Scopus Citation Database and some from the information extracted from surveys.
