Dual degree PhD Program between Ferdowsi University of Mashhad and University of Warsaw, Poland
The Faculty of Economics & Administrative Sciences at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad and the Faculty of Management at the University of Warsaw—one of Poland's top and largest universities—signed an agreement in 2016 to establish a joint PhD program in Management with a specialization in Organizational Behavior.
The program is officially recognized by the Iranian Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology and candidates are admitted through the national PhD entrance exam. Based on the mutual agreement, the program will be jointly conducted by Ferdowsi University of Mashhad (FUM) and the University of Warsaw. The program is designed that after completing the first semester at FUM, all students must spend at least two semesters at the University of Warsaw, Poland, and remaining courses can be completed at either institution, as per the academic plan. Courses in Iran will be taught in Persian or English & in Poland will be in English. The supervisors and advisors will be jointly selected from Iran and Poland. It is necessary to mention that the interview will be conducted in English and Persian for the initial candidates introduced by the National Education and Assessment Organization, and it is mandatory to provide a minimum IELTS score of 5.5 at the time of the interview (providing a score conditionally is also possible. The university registration fees in Poland for three years are at least 9,000 euros, payable in annual installments of 3,000 euros per year. Please be advised that the applicant is responsible for covering both living expenses in Poland and tuition fees. In accordance with the agreement between the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences and the Khorasan Razavi Industries Association, top-performing candidates from industrial firms may be recommended for scholarships, subject to a mandatory service obligation. It should be noted that the university will provide students with a loan of up to 20 million Tomans to assist with travel and accommodation expenses in Poland.
Dual degree PhD Program between Ferdowsi University of Mashhad and Sorbonne University, France:
Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, in collaboration with Sorbonne University (France), has been offering a joint PhD program in French Literature since the 2018-2019 academic year (1397-98), in accordance with the approval of the Iranian Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology.
Under this agreement, for the current academic year, three students will be admitted through the PhD entrance examination. The accepted students will spend one year of their studies at Sorbonne University in France and will ultimately receive a joint PhD degree from both Ferdowsi University of Mashhad and Sorbonne University. According to the agreement, the academic program at Sorbonne University will be tuition-free, and students will benefit from the university's accommodation facilities.
