Prof. Taki has Certified Management Accountant Membership from the Institute of Certified Management Accountants, Australia, as well as being a member of the Society for Human Resource Management, USA, and the Arabian Society for Human Resource Management. He is also a member of the Club of Rectors of Europe.

Prof. Taki was awarded the Honorary Professorship by the International University of Vienna during the Oxford Summit of Leaders which was held during March 2010.

Prof. Taki Al Abduwani has been appointed by Oman Academic Accreditation Authority (OAAA), as one of the external reviewer in the Sultanate of Oman the external reviewers, are distinguished people from Oman and many other countries. The OAAA recognises that effective quality assurance of higher education is conducted by leading national and international peers, from academia, industries and professions, who are trained and/or well experienced in external review methods. The Board of the OAAA applies a rigorous process for approving Reviewers. Also, it requires that all Reviewers either complete a formal training program for reviewers or are already recognised as leading external reviewers before they may participate in an OAAA review.
